Wales Audit Office
Wales Audit Office has produced a new leaflet which provides advice and information on raising concerns about issues of concern that you might have regarding workplace practice
Cause UK
CAUSE (UK), the Campaign against suspension and exclusion in the NHS is also a useful resource
Patients Concern
This is a campaign group comprising of NHS doctors, managers and a wide-range of healthcare professionals who are committed to improving patient safety. Patients Concern has launched a campaign to protect Whistleblowers in the NHS.
Public Concern at Work
Public Concern at Work (PCaW) is the independent authority on public interest whistleblowing. Established as a charity in 1993 following a series of scandals and disasters, PCaW has played a leading role in putting whistleblowing on the governance agenda and in developing legislation in the UK and abroad. All its work is informed by the free advice it offers to people with whistleblowing dilemmas and the professional support it provides to enlightened organisations
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) helpline
The RCN has now launched a phone line to support whistle blowing nurses. RCN members can now call 0845 7726 300 if they have serious or immediate concerns about patient safety in their workplace
The British Medical Association (BMA Wales)
BMA Wales has luanched the Option 7 campaign which is aimed at supporting junior doctors. Option 7 is named after the option on a BMA phone line that juniors can select, to discuss bullying and harassment in confidence
Whistleblowing helpline for NHS and social care sector
A whistle-blowing helpline for NHS staff is being extended to staff and employers in the social care sector from 1 January 2012. It is free, independent and confidential. The helpline number is 08000 724 725.
